BIOGRAPHY

 

 

Moey is a Florida native who currently resides in Cocoa Beach. She was born in 1992 to an environmentalist midwife and a philosophy professor.  She works predominantly in the medium of painting, combining aspects of the real world with the metaphysical in order to provoke meditative thought.

 

 

ARTIST STATEMENT

 

 I have lived in multiple cities in Florida during the course of my life, but one thing that has remained constant throughout these transitions is the presence of the mystical, and at times, eerie landscape of the Florida wilderness. I am interested in my memory of this landscape, and how this particular setting has formed who I have become as a person. My goal is to monumentalize this landscape, using a restricted palette in order to convey a sense of memory.
